If you are a Minnesota voter, you may apply for a refund of all or a portion of contributions you made to the DFL between January 1st and December 31st of each calendar year. The maximum refund is $75 for an individual and $150 for a married couple filing jointly.
To claim this refund, simply complete the form we send you after your donation and submit it as instructed to the Minnesota Department of Revenue. You must be registered to vote or eligible to vote in Minnesota, a U.S.citizen, 18 years or older, and have lived in Minnesota for at least 20 days immediately prior to any statewide or local election in which you would be eligible to vote. You may file at any time, but no later than April 15th of the following year.
